YITORCH — fastener and solar mounting hardware supplier from China

Fastener supply to the United Arab Emirates

The UAE combines an extreme coastal environment with the region's most developed re-export infrastructure. That means a specification good enough for a Dubai tower is usually also good enough for everything it is re-exported to.

Corrosion is the binding constraint

Coastal UAE sits in atmospheric corrosion category C5-M. Hardware that performs for twenty years inland will show red rust within a few seasons at a Jebel Ali yard or on a Deira high-rise facade. Two specifications cover almost all cases:

Structural and outdoor steel

Hot-dip galvanizing at 80 µm minimum to ISO 1461. For splash-zone or permanently damp positions, duplex systems (HDG plus a topcoat) extend the interval between inspections considerably.

Small fasteners, clamps, facades

A4 (316) stainless throughout. Mixed-metal joints are the most common failure: an A4 bolt with a zinc-plated nut sacrifices the nut. Specify the joint as a matched set.

Thermal cycling matters too. With summer peaks around 48–50 °C, nylon-insert lock nuts can lose prevailing torque. Mechanically locked or serrated flange nuts are the safer choice for high-temperature positions.

Conformity and documentation

Documents typically required for UAE import
DocumentPurpose
Certificate of origin (CO)Customs clearance; required for most commercial consignments
EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificateMaterial verification, required by consultants on project work
ESMA / MOIAT conformityApplies only to product groups within scope of the relevant UAE scheme — we will confirm whether your part is in scope rather than issuing a generic certificate
Third-party inspection (SGS / BV / TUV)Frequently required by main contractors; we coordinate the inspection window
Coating thickness and salt spray reportsSpecified on facade and marine packages

Logistics and re-export

  • Jebel Ali Port (Jebel Ali / JAFZA) — the main container gateway, and the standard route for re-export across the GCC, East Africa and South Asia.
  • Khalifa Port (Abu Dhabi) — the practical choice for Abu Dhabi industrial and energy projects.
  • Sharjah and Ajman — served through Jebel Ali or Port Khalid depending on the project.
  • Transit time from China — typically 18–26 days sea to Jebel Ali; 5–8 days air freight door to door.

Because a large share of UAE imports are re-exported, documentation has to stand up in more than one jurisdiction. If the goods will be re-exported, tell us at inquiry stage so that documents are prepared with that in mind.

Frequently asked questions

Do you supply to free-zone companies in the UAE?

Yes. We ship to JAFZA, Khalifa Port Free Trade Zone and other zones as standard, with documents addressed to the free-zone entity. Free-zone customers frequently re-export, so tell us the final destination and we will prepare documents accordingly.

What is the correct coating specification for the UAE?

Hot-dip galvanizing at 80 µm minimum for structural steel, and A4 (316) stainless for small fasteners, clamps and facade work. Zinc plating is only appropriate for indoor or fully protected positions.

Can you support re-export documents?

We issue the standard export set (invoice, packing list, B/L, CO, mill certificates). Documents needed by a third country are best identified at inquiry stage so they can be prepared with the shipment.

How are warranty claims handled?

Claims are raised with us, not with the factory. We run the investigation, issue a root-cause report and resolve with replacement or credit — which matters most when the end customer is several jurisdictions away.

Ready to source quality hardware from China?

Tell us the destination port at inquiry stage — we will list the conformity documents and the coating specification your shipment needs before you order.
