Quality control & supply chain
Quality in fasteners is not a final inspection — it is decided by the steel, the forming process, the heat treatment and the coating, long before the parts are packed. Our four-stage process is designed to catch deviations at the point where they are still cheap to correct.
Stage 1 — Supplier audit
Before a factory receives an order it is assessed on equipment, process capability, heat-treatment control, calibration records, material traceability and previous export experience. Factories that cannot show traceable material sourcing are not used, regardless of price.
Stage 2 — Incoming material inspection
Wire rod and bar stock are checked against the ordered grade. Chemical composition is verified against the mill certificate and, where the grade is critical, by independent spectrometry. Wrong or unverified material is the single largest cause of fastener failure claims and is stopped here.
Stage 3 — In-process check
During production we monitor thread dimensions, head geometry, hardness after heat treatment and coating thickness. Sampling frequency follows the agreed inspection plan rather than being left to the operator's discretion.
Stage 4 — Pre-shipment inspection
Final AQL sampling on dimensions, thread gauging, mechanical properties, coating thickness, marking and packing. The inspection report and mill certificate are issued before the goods leave the factory.
What is checked, and with what
| Characteristic | Method / instrument | Evidence issued |
|---|---|---|
| Chemical composition | Mill certificate + optical emission spectrometry | Mill test certificate (EN 10204 3.1) |
| Dimensional accuracy | Caliper, micrometer, thread and ring gauges to go/no-go | Dimensional inspection report |
| Hardness and mechanical properties | Rockwell / Vickers hardness, tensile and proof-load testing | Mechanical property report to ISO 898-1 |
| Coating thickness | Magnetic induction gauge (zinc, HDG) | Coating thickness report |
| Corrosion performance | Neutral salt spray to ISO 9227 where specified | Salt spray test report |
| Surface and marking | Visual inspection, grade and maker marking check | Pre-shipment inspection report |
Traceability
Every batch is linked to its heat number, producing factory, inspection records and shipping documents, so a question raised two years after delivery can still be investigated.
Claims & corrective action
You raise the claim with us. We run the investigation, issue a root-cause report, and resolve with replacement or credit. Corrective action is confirmed with the factory in writing.
Change control
If a producing factory, material source or coating process changes between orders, you are informed before the change takes effect — not after the parts arrive.
Quality questions
Can I arrange third-party inspection?
Yes. SGS, BV, TUV, Intertek and other recognised agencies are welcome. We will coordinate the inspection window, provide the sample plan and make any rework required by the report before dispatch.
What happens if a batch fails inspection?
The batch does not ship. We issue a non-conformance report identifying the deviation, propose sorting, rework or replacement, and confirm corrective action with the factory before re-inspection.
What is your MOQ? Can I start with a trial order?
Yes. We support flexible MOQ and small trial orders so you can test quality and market demand before scaling up. Exact MOQ depends on the item and specification.
How fast will I get a quote?
Within 48 hours after receiving your specification (size, material, standard, finish, quantity). Urgent inquiries are usually answered the same working day.
Can you make custom sizes or OEM per my drawings?
Yes. We handle OEM and ODM: custom dimensions, materials, surface treatment and packaging per your drawings or samples, produced to DIN, ISO, ASTM, GB or GOST standards.
Ready to source quality hardware from China?
Send your specification, drawing or sample — we reply with price, tooling lead time and a QC plan within 48 hours.
